Kenneth S. Hackel, CFA – President
Mr. Hackel was Founder and President of Systematic Financial Management Inc., (SFM) a multi-billion dollar investment firm that pioneered the analysis and use of corporate cash flow analysis in investment decision making. Kenneth is the author of many articles on free cash flow analysis, and is internationally recognized as a leading expert in the field. With over 34 years of investment experience, he has consulted on mergers and acquisitions. His work has been published in leading academic journals as well as leading financial news media. Kenneth’s upcoming book, “Security Valuation and Risk Analysis: Assessing Value in Investment Decision-Making“, to be published by McGraw Hill later this November, significantly extends the theories and analysis presented in his earlier book, “Cash Flow and Security Analysis,” 2nd edition (McGraw Hill, 1995). Mr. Hackel graduated from City College of New York and earned his MBA (Finance) from Baruch College.
Simon B. Adams – Senior Vice President and Principal
Mr. Adams joins CT Capital with more than 20 years of financial services experience, including nearly fifteen years with Russell Investment Group as a Senior Research Analyst. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President assisting one of the largest independently-owned US investment banks establish its Asset Management division. Prior to Russell, Simon was a Financial Analyst with Societe Generale Australia Limited. He began his financial services career as an intern in the Taxation and Audit divisions of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Adams earned an M.B.A. from the Australian Graduate Schools of Management and a BEc (Hons.) from the University of Sydney. He has held FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and 66 licenses.
Professor Joshua Livnat, CPA – Principal Consultant
Mr. Livnat is a Full Professor and former Chairman of the Accounting, Taxation, and Business Law Department at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Professor Livnat taught at various universities in the US and abroad. Professor Livnat’s research has primarily been in the areas of financial accounting (including the relationship between accounting information and security prices), security analysis, and electronic commerce. He has also served as a consultant to several major financial institutions. Professor Livnat resides in New York City.
